shaping the image of the Altai Republic in the post-Soviet period. The Altai Republic is a unique region, which is located in the center of Eurasia, in the south of Western Siberia at the junction of the Siberian taiga, Kazakh steppes and semi-deserts of Mongolia. This region is one of the key places where antiquity and modernity intertwine and represents a unique unity of the richest nature and cultural diversity that has developed over many centuries. The symbolism of the region and the regional brand are analyzed, material heritage monuments are characterized, such as historical, cultural and natural monuments created or classified as especially valuable monuments during the period under review. The important role of intangible heritage monuments, influencing the formation of the territory\u2019s image, is also noted. It is noted that in recent decades a lot has been done to ensure that the very diverse and multifaceted historical and cultural heritage of the Altai Republic plays an increasingly prominent role in
