Particular attention is paid to the EU cohesion policy, aimed at leveling imbalances in socio-economic development and implementing a number of programs to increase competitiveness and stimulate economic growth of regions. Attention is drawn to the fact that there are not enough studies that trace the impact of EU policies in the field of cultural heritage on the image of regions. The connection of cultural heritage and its various components (tangible, intangible and digital) with the image of the regions and the European Union is shown through such variables as cultural exchange and dialogue; value policy and efforts in the field of EU identity, tourism promotion and the implementation of projects such as \u201cEuropean Heritage Days\u201d, \u201cEuropean Capital of
