archaeological heritage in the process of forming the image of the Altai Territory. The structure of the archaeological heritage highlights such components as material objects (archaeological sites and collections of artifacts), an information component (descriptions and interpretations) and an institutional component (museums, research institutes and laboratories, educational organizations, government agencies and public organizations, tourism organizations and individuals).<\/p>\n<p>The most significant role in the process of forming the image of the region and in widespread mythologems played such archaeological monuments and objects of archaeological tourism as the Denisova Cave, the Archaeological Park &#171;Crossroads of Worlds&#187;, the &#171;Royal&#187; kurgan in the village of Sentelek. Archaeological sites such as the complex of archaeological monuments on the town of Piket, the burial ground of Bugry, etc. have great potential in this aspect.
